As many stars light up the night,
To people who live everywhere,
To tell them that I really care.

The cards are sent by elves and gnomes,
Delivered to the people's homes.
Not every lady will read my card -
To learn my mother tongue is hard.

For the language that we here do speak,
Is English - each day of the week.
